4 reasons to eat Pizza

There were a few sceptics around us, when we discovered there were some benefits to stuffing our faces with pizza. So we kicked them out, ordered a few box boxes of pizza and went through the list below:

1.It’s Saucy

The base of most pizzas is tomato sauce and tomatoes contain lycopene. Apparently lycopene reduces the risk of cancer. (Please do not quote us on this).

2. It’s raunchy

You can add whatever toppings you want to your pizza. This can be the perfect way to get your five a day and of course cheese contains calcium.

3.It’s not fried

Compared to other fast foods, pizza has the advantage of not being fried, thus not containing as mush saturated and trans fat as fried foods.  We all know, fat is no good for you.

4.It’s muscle

Depending on your toppings, you can load up some protein on your pizza by opting for toppings such as fish, chicken and mushrooms. Protein helps build muscles and other funny tissues in your body.

Please note we are just pure Pizza lovers and we are not scientifically qualified to confirm any of the above. We just did some digging around and thought to share this with you. As much as we love pizza and believe us we do, pizza is best enjoyed when consumed in moderation.

If you love pizza, good music and the sunshine as much as we do, bring yourself down to MySlice Fest on 30th July.
