Poolblood’s Dreamy Tribute to Mr. Rogers in New Video for “My Little Room” from Debut Album “Mole”

Poolblood (Maryam Said, she/they) has released a new video for “my little room,” a song from their debut album, “mole,” which is out now on Next Door Records. The video, directed by Holly Pruner and shot on film at the Scarborough Model Railroaders Club, is a dreamy tribute to Mr. Rogers, whom Said watched as a child. Pruner says the song’s “melodic urgency” captures the feeling of growth and change, with an underlying nostalgia for what’s left behind.

“Mole” has been praised by NPR, MTV, FADER, Consequence, BrooklynVegan, Bandcamp Daily, and Them., among others. The album tells stories of deep, intimate relationships that shape our lives. It features collaborations with Louie Short and Shamir, as well as a variety of talented musicians such as Christian Lee Hutson, Eliza Niemi, and Dorothea Paas.

Said’s friendly voice guides listeners through a world of lush soundscapes and tender revelations, creating an ever-expanding universe of dynamic and unforgettable music. Poolblood’s performance at SXSW is highly anticipated, and the video for “my little room” is a tantalizing glimpse of what’s to come.
