After releasing his EP , “Hopeless Romance” we have a stripped back version of “Wage A War” a track taken from the EP. “The journey of writing a tune on my guitar, to recording it in the studio, then releasing it and having such a great reaction back has been so cool and I can’t wait to get out there and play the songs live at shows and festivals over the summer,” 18 year old Sonny describes his experience. You can catch Sonny at The Great Escape Festival on May 18th and on May 26th, 27th, 28th at the Dot to Dot Festival.

Gryffin, Illenium – Feel Good ft. Daya

After collection over 19 million streams on Spotify, Gryffin has now released the visuals to his track Feel Good” featuring Illenium and Daya. The video depicts a night out on the town filled with good vibes and moments to remember.

Speaking on the track Gryffin says; “The lyrics that Daya came up with had so much intensity to them — writing about that significant other in your life who puts you in a positive, happy state of mind, even when bad things may be happening in your life or in the world. I wanted the production to reflect that intensity, but at the same time create a really positive vibe,” explains Dan Griffith. “My goal with the song was to find that balance, and I ended up hitting it by adding a lot of synth sounds I’d never used before, and by bringing in different guitar textures and then flipping them in a new way. That’s what the Gryffin project is about overall: making electronic music but using real guitar and real piano so that there’s this organic feeling to every song.”

Skrapz – Enemies

As we brace ourselves for more releases from Skrapz, we have his latest single “Enemies” where Skrapz shares his honesty over a trap-infused beat. Skrapz is certainly on the rise, he is one of the most sought after UK rappers currently on the scene. Most recently he joined Giggs on stage at his London Hammersmith Eventim Apollo show whilst we recently saw Anthony Joshua walk to the ring at Wembley Stadium to the Skrapz song “They Ain’t Ready.”

Blakey – Prism of Love

Blakey is one of the hottest artists of 2017 and with the release of his debut single and visuals “Prism of Love”, we can see why. Speaking on his debut release, Blakey states: “It’s a very direct song. I put my most authentic and honest feelings to music. Sometimes I think it’s important to cut through all the bullshit and present exactly how you’re feeling, and not filter yourself for anything or anyone. It’s not vulnerability; it’s liberation.”

The visuals are simple yet poignant. We see Blakey walking through the rural English countryside, proclaiming simply his story of love, self-destruction and redemption. The London-based singer, songwriter and producer’s first offering is indeed something that demands attention: a crisp, velveteen falsetto with initially uncluttered production, Blakey then adds incremental touches, layering the instrumental into something subtly 80s, increasingly vibrant, with an ebbing synth to form a graceful balance.
