Bright Light Bright Light returns after the huge success of his third album “Choreography”, which featured a collaboration with his mentor, Sir Elton John. Rod is back with his EP “Cinematography”, where he covers some of his favourite songs from the big screen. The EP features some of the songs that influenced the tracks on “Choreography” and will be released on 25th November
The first track from the EP is “Maniac” which is available to download and stream. You can also pre-order the EP which comes as a limited-edition CD with a fold out poster here. The first single form the EP is “Maniac”. Maniac is from the hit movie, Flashdance, which Rod names as one his most beloved dance films.
Rod explains that “Choreography” was inspired by scenes from my favourite films and written to be the soundtrack to my own ridiculous colourful film, so as a sister EP, “Cinematography” is a set of covers of some of my favourite songs from cinema.
Rod is his own label boss, A&R, manager, tour manager and one time booking agent. He publishes himself and organises all his own visuals. They don’t come any more creative and hands on like this.
