Raheem Bakaré – Lucid Soul Dreams

As we await for Raheem Bakaré’s “Lucid Soul Dreams” EP project due out this Friday 17th March, Raheem has released the visuals for “LSD” to hold us over. Raheem has already been teasing us with several teasers of his upcoming eight track EP, he says , “I think relationships are ultimately about balance, I’ve seen people get love drunk to the point that they focus more on their partner than their own situation. This type of addiction can turn even the most sane person crazy; leaving a sour trail of questions when it all goes south. LSD came as an epiphany to end this toxic habit within a relationship. The psychedelic sonics and heavy drums harness the reflection of a limbo state felt when looming a breakup.”

After the success of his debut “AWOL” EP which he gave away for free for fans to gain faith in him, Raheem has received extensive radio play from the likes of Huw Stephens at BBC Radio 1, Twin B, DJ Target, MistaJam, CJ Beatz and Sian Anderson at BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, Rinse FM and BANG Radio.

Sonny – Since We’ve Begun

Perhaps it was growing up with musical parents that’s caused Sonny to excel in the music industry at such a young age. Sonny’s mother’s fondness for R&B and soul, and his singer/guitarist father’s appreciation for folk and country has created the artist that we know as Sonny today. Sonny has released “Since We’ve Begun” the second single to come from his upcoming EP “Hopeless Romance” due out on 24th March.

The track exposes Sonny’s vocal ability which is immaculate at such a young age. We are certain this latest release will follow in the footsteps of Sonny’s debut release “Princess” which has been streamed over 155,000 times so far.

Forest Swords – The Highest Floods

Forest Swords, aka acclaimed Merseyside-based producer Matthew Barnes, returns with a new single “The Highest Flood”, his first studio release since his debut album in 2013. So where has he been all this time? Forest has been working on various projects including composing music for the “Assassin’s Creed” video game and soundtracking the first movie made entirely with drones – “In The Robot Skies”- which debuted at the 2016 BFI London Film Festival.

Speaking on “The Highest Flood”, Forest says, “It’s a challenge to navigate the world we’re living in now and I’ve been thinking a lot about the ways we need to forge new paths in language, communication and our connection with the natural world – it’s becoming more and more important to try and steer these in a positive direction” says Forest of the track. ‘The Highest Flood” distills some of the frustration and hopes that I’ve been working through over the past 18 months whilst making new material.”
