Mr Eazi ft DJ Cuppy – Fight

2016 was a busy year for Mr Eazi, who released several singles which we are still shuffling through on our playlist. After releasing his debut mixtape earlier this year, Mr Eazi has now presented us with the video to “Fight” featuring DJ Cuppy.

The visuals were directed by Teekay, who always delivers with his illustrations and the styling was done by Mr Eazi’s personal stylist, Mariam Aduke Abass. It also seems Mariam has been doing a great job styling Mr Eazi as he was recently featured on for putting West African style on the map. In the video, we see Mr Eazi and DJ Cuppy who plays his love interest, meeting up in East London to salvage their relationship.

Jackie Got Lemons – Nothing To Wear

We’ve all been there, that moment you are planning to go out and you look through your wardrobe and tell yourself you have “Nothing To Wear”. How is that possible, when you are standing in front of a wardrobe full of various garments to choose from? Jackie Got Lemons really know and understand the struggles we face in life and through their satirical music they make light of a difficult situation. “Nothing To Wear” is the first track to be taken from Jackie Got Lemons’ debut album “None Of Your Business” due for release this year.

The Ausie based gang say about the track, “We want our songs to be relatable to daily things that happen to us and how people interact with these things and with each other. (This song) It’s intended to be a reflection on stupid human behaviour we deal with on a daily basis.” The single will officially be released on 12th April, however you can buy/stream “Nothing To Wear” through Jackie Got Lemons’ bandcamp website in the meantime.

Read our interview with Jackie Got Lemons’ Sharon and find out who this Jackie is what has she done with the lemons.

Dermot Kennedy – Glory

We recently told you about the young Irish lad Dermot Kennedy who we featured on Demur Decks a few weeks ago. There is no stopping this young, ambitious, unsigned artist. With his EP “Doves and Ravens” on it’s way (14th April), Dermot has released the third single “Glory” from the EP to hold us over.

Dermot will be live at his show which sold out in 10 minutes, at The Waiting Room, London on Monday 3rd April. Now Dermot already has more than 25 million streams from just three tracks, we are certain this will continue to go up with this latest release of “Glory”.

Rose Villain – Kitty Kitty

Rose Villain is an artist who is making the most of her degree in musical theatre and dramatic arts. Her music is as theatrical as her imagination. “Kitty Kitty” is the new single from Rose, due for official release on 7th April. Rose is an avid film buff, in particular horror movies and she cites directors such as Quentin Tarantino, the Cohen Brothers, Stanley Kubrick and David Lynch as her inspiration.

This is clearly evidential in the visuals to “Kitty Kitty” which Rose directed herself. The video starts off with what looks like #relationshipgoals but ends in a perplexing way, you really have got to watch it until the end. We had to watch it twice! “Kitty Kitty” is produced by Rose herself and features a catchy chorus over an infectious mix of hip hop beats, middle eastern guitar and pulsing synths.
