SAINT WKND ft Boy Matthews – Make You Mine
From releasing a series of online bootlegs, to creating official remixes for Australian future-beat boss Chet Faker, indie group Saint Motel as well as Chicago based Louis The Child among others, SAINT WKND has come a long way at such a young age. His debut release “Golden” taken from his EP “Golden Youth” immediately hit the number 1 spot on Hype Machine’s main chart and received over 1.7 million streams. “Make You Mine” is the second release from SAINT and features vocals from Boy Matthews. “Make You Mine” is another great addition to our summer playlist with its upbeat vibes and soulfully composed lyrics.
On his debut EP, SAINT WKND says, “Golden Youth is the EP about songs from my years of youth. Everything that goes through the head of a 22 year old kid. Songs about adventures, love & summer feelings. The musical style is mainly electronic but it’s hard to put it into a genre; Golden for example has a violin ensemble in it. I have always wanted to avoid labelling the genre of my music, as it’s rather about focusing on story-telling and using different styles to tell those stories and evoke emotions.”
Olympia – Smoke Signals
Melbourne-based singer and multi-instrumentalist Olivia Bartley AKA Olympia had an interesting past life which eventually led her to her true calling in music. Although Olympia has always pursued music, her degree in design landed her teaching gig at university level before setting up studios in Melbourne, Darwin, Indonesia and Cambodia, working with disadvantaged women.
Ahead of her UK tour Olympia has dropped her first UK single “Smoke Signals” a perfect pop song and in the accompanying visuals we see Olympia showing off her baton twirling skills. Olivia could not hide her excitement on coming to the UK, she said “We built a little world making this album, and I’m so excited to be bringing it the to the UK. We have a few fans in the UK who’ve discovered the work online, and also through the music video shot by Londoner Alex Smith, and it will be great to finally connect with them face to face.”

Paradisia – Warpaint (Video)
Paradisia are three courageous women using their talent to stand up and empower other women. Their latest video is no different from their character. “Warpaint” is the follow up release from Paradisia’s previous single “Silent Lover” which was well received and was applauded for the visuals which were filmed with one camera, in one take at a studio in Hanover during their album recording session.
In the video for “Warpaint” we see a group of women banding together in a forest. Paradisia said this about their latest visuals “For this video we wanted to feature an army of empowered women and display the striking image they convey when walking together united,” the band explain. “We purposely didn’t want to give it a context or too obviously display their sexual appeal – just a bare palette uniform marching through nature. Despite the fact that we don’t know where they’re going or who they might be fighting, there is a strong sense of femininity and influence.”
