The track highlights Marco’s ear for samples and his ability to bring them into a big room format. Seemingly influenced by producers like Swizz Beats and Just Blaze, Marco reinvents some classic MPC drum machine chops and puts them to new use. On “Hot 4 U” Marco says, “I wanted to produce a song that took me back to hearing a high pitched Dipset song, but update it with big trap drums and arrange it like a dance tune.” Marco’s refreshing take on hip-hop inspired electronica makes “Hot 4 U” a track that will surely be heard blazing across stages this summer. Producer / DJ / turntablist Jesse grew up in NYC learning on turntables when he was 12 years old, honing his skills over the years and going on to become a music curator for brands like Stussy, H&M and Tom Ford.

South London multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer Jax Jones is riding high following the worldwide success of smash single ‘”You Don’t Know Me” featuring BBC Sound of 2017 nominee and future star Raye, and looks set to continue his winning streak with his brand new single “Instructions”. “Nothing says summer to me more than Notting Hill Carnival,” Jax says of his new single. “That was the mental image I used throughout the making of this song. I took the idea to my good friend MNEK and the song came together really quickly. The DJ is the controller of the dance floor and lyrically, I wanted to reflect that; hence why we’re giving instructions!” Enlisting global pop star Demi Lovato and the UK’s fiercest MC Stefflon Don ‘Instruction’ is an empowering percussion led call to the dancefloor. ‘B*tch I don’t need introduction’ Lovato snaps, whilst Steff delivers fiery ‘bad gal’ bars that leave you in no doubt, she really is the Don.
FEMME – Fire With Fire
FEMME has released the epic visuals to her latest brassy garage-inflected single “Fire With Fire”. The track is taken from FEMME’s, second album due out next year. Speaking on the video, FEMME said,”Like most of my best ideas, they usually come to me in the middle of the night deep in a cheese dream. With a habit of cooking up big ideas on DIY budgets, I knew we had to find a clever way of getting the heat into the video. With that in mind, we arrived at this dystopian chilli eating competition. Director Ben Mahon took this initial idea and ran with it and together I think we’ve realised one of my best videos to date. The song is about picking a fight and squaring up to a challenge, letting the world know you’re not about to be steamrolled – it’s cheeky and a little bit twisted. Just like this video.”

The Penelopes – Mulholland Drive
From their native Paris suburbs to their lives in London, their new collection of tracks, taken from their forthcoming EP “Leave Them All Behind” are described as “a collection of dance songs for loners” – an ode to the FM-radio songs of the 80s. A melancholic sunset, highway ride with only the stereo for company, evokes a trip of guilty pleasures in 1985. With collaborations with producer Dan Grech-Marguerat (Lana Del Rey, Scissor Sisters), The Penelopes lay down a marker of real quality with their first release of the year. A moody, glamorous track that evokes the best of 90 and 00s Paris, The Penelopes arrive with the kind of effortless insouciance that just can’t be ignored. The new single, “Mulholland Drive”, with its L.A.-shot video, feels explicit nod to director David Lynch and the Californian “Americana” aesthetic – a cinematic, nocturnal atmosphere.
