Afro B – Pull Up (Remix Package)
“With Afrobeats, an artist can be singing or rapping about the rawest topic but you can’t help but to move your feet because of the vibe of the song,” says Afro B and we can’t help but agree. Following his recent release ‘Juice & Power’ featuring feat Yxng Bane, Afro B brings us more hits with one compilation in the form off ‘Pull Up’ (Remix Package). The DJ turned Producer thoroughly delivers with his ingenious lyrics. Releasing the remix package for ‘Pull Up’, he has chosen three varying sounds – Skengdo & AM bring their UK drill flows, Motu brings funky house flavour and Bladerunner provides a drum & bass rework.
Asha – To The Edge
She has received the seal of approval from BBC R1Xtra’s Mistajam which means 2018 will be plane sailing for her. After a brief hiatus, Croydon-born Asha unleashes her latest single ‘To The Edge’ a track brings more magic from a wonderfully elusive artist. Asha continues to speak to her generation, laying down a marker for realness, truth and in possession of a pure talent you can’t help but get excited by.
EDEN – crash
EDEN got us all emotional on his latest release ‘crash’. This is the second release from EDEN’s upcoming debut album ‘vertigo’ due for release next month. On the guitar backed track, EDEN speaks of parting ways and in spite of the pain, moving on with life from someone who ‘’fucked him up’. The emotion in EDEN’s voice aids to a somewhat joyful and yet sombre tone of the song and you can’t help but search in your heart for a time you once felt like how EDEN feels in this song.
Fieh – Glu
It’s often exciting and promising when artists release a good quality memorable track as their debut single. This 9 person band led by Sofie Tollefsbøl have a message in their future hit track ‘Glu’. ‘Glu’ which screams ‘please keep your opinions to yourself and let me be great’ and this is portrayed in the funky, jazzy beat of the song and the visuals that accompany it. Fieh started off with just Sofie releasing her demos on SoundCloud a few years ago. Now Sofie has teamed up with her classmates on the jazz program at Norwegian Academy of Music which comprises of backup singers, a drummer, a bassist, a guitarist, a trumpeter and a keyboardist to form Fieh.
