Hieroglyphic Being real name, Jamal Moss released his album “The Disco’s Of Imhotep” earlier this year. Influenced by Sun-Ra, Hieroglyphic composed an authentic, energetic and reflective sound that focused as much on the dance-floor as on the synapses. Now he returns with a two track EP dedicated to “The Natives” of Chicago’s nascent and fertile electronic music scene in the 90s.
The two tracks, “This Is 4 The Rave Bangers” and “HOME 95” are described as “Reinterpretations or a Revisionist’s retrospective of the early 90’s electronic music based in Chicago during the rise of Rave Culture from a sonic anthropological narrative”. The EP “This Isn’t Your Typical 90’s Era Techno / IDM Revisionist View 12″ will be released on 11th November and you can pre-order your copy here
You can catch Hieroglyphic performing at Corsica Studios in London on 1st December and tickets can be purchased here.
