Magnetic Skies – I Am Your Friend

Having just released their EP, it was only right to include this airy, synth-layered banger from synthpop/alt-rock act Magnetic Skies.  As the riffs roll, you can hear the careful construction throughout the track that has lead this duo to receive praise from the likes of Steve Lamacq & Janice Long. Their Whole EP is just as good, so go give it a listen.

Naked Next Door – Fade

It has been described as an ‘unapologetic’ first single and I think it is an apt decision. Singing of the frustrations in everyday life and how monotonous the stress of it all can become, you can hear the real passion in lead singer Euan’s vocals. Alongside this passion is a crafty heart to write a captivating hook. We have no doubt that we will be seeing a lot more from these talented boys this year.

Club Paradise – Kirby Keger

We loved their first offerings, and they are yet to let us down with this. Having become quickly established, this young Newcastle band show just how much promise they truly have with ‘Kirby Keger’. The track appears fully formed and laden with melodic prowess and dusky synths stroon throughout.

Kat Cunning – Birds

Appearing from the Broadway stage is the gorgeous Kat Cunning. Calling her classical training as well as a blend of pop and soul, Kat creates an emotive and catchy track that leaves you wanting more. If she continues at this calibre, we are extremely excited to see what she does next.

Clean Cut Kid – Painwave (Album)

After releasing their debut album ‘felt’, I think it is safe to say that Clean Cut have already captivated everyone’s attention. Now, after a tantalisingly long two years, they’re back!! ‘Painwave’ boasts a slightly more mature sound and shows off just how talented this band is with their sweeping yet flawless harmonies and delicate, low-fi melodies. But before we spoil it, you should really go and listen to it yourself!
