Words

We are always on the lookout for writers to contribute to both online and print. We accept articles that cover, fashion, music, art and culture. Articles may be (but not limited to) interviews, reviews or opinion pieces. The minimum word count is 300 words. Submit your piece above and if your submission is successful, your work will be published within 7 working days.

Photography

To submit an editorial please send us low resolution, single jpg files using the form above.

If your submission is successfully selected we will get back to you as soon as possible. After that, you will need to send us high-resolution files (min. 300dpi) in JPEG or preferably TIFF format including separately all the necessary credits (please ensure all contributors are happy with the credits).

Unfortunately, at present we are unable to offer monetary compensation for submissions, however, your work if chosen will be published with full credits.

Disclaimer: Please note, when submitting a project (photography and/or writing) to be published online that it must not have been published elsewhere. If the work has been published in part elsewhere – including your own website / personal portfolio – you must let us know when submitting. If you are pitching to other magazines and we have agreed to run the project first, the story becomes exclusive to us, and you may not publish the project elsewhere. After stories have been published on Demur, excluding fashion editorials, they may be published elsewhere: one week after our go-live date, and crediting Demur Magazine as the source.

Demur Magazine reserve the right to remove stories if they are found to have been fraudulently published elsewhere, both before and after submission.
