Demur Decks 12.08.2019 by Drew Austin
Dubbed as ‘one to watch’ on the club scene, Drew Austin is quickly making a name for himself. His latest single ‘How It Feels’ was the perfect summer anthem with its soft and beautiful piano rift and enchanting vocals. Seeing as Drew is the man of the hour we were delighted he could spare some time to take over our Demur Decks and share with us the tracks he is currently listening to.
H.E.R – Racks ft YBN Cordae
I have had this song on repeat for most of the week. H.E.R is a unique artist/musician who can only be compared to the likes of Lauren Hill and you can understand why when you listen to this song. It’s refreshing to hear real R&B along with the new Hip-Hop artist YBN Cordae who is surely going to cause a storm in the next 12 months. This song is really chilled and relaxing.
Snoop Dogg & Swizz Beatz – Countdown
This song takes me back to the 90s Westcoast HipHop era and homes in on the Snoop Dogg we all grew to love in the 90s. I’ve always been a fan of Swizz Beatz production style and having Snoop on a record with Swizz was bound to hit me from the beginning to end.
Amun – Not Everything
I’ve been paying attention to Amun from this banger of a song. I’m a big fan of real R&B and real singers and I had this one song on repeat for a whole day. It’s well written, well sung, well produced and the chorus is catchy and relatable. I fell in love with this song from the moment I pressed play.
Joe Hertz & Kaleem Taylor – One sided
Now who’s not felt like they’ve given more in a relationship and this song truly captures that feeling but in an up-tempo way. Kaleem’s vocals are crazy and the live instruments in the production are on point.
Sebastian Mikael – Time
This song is a straight vibe from the start. The vocals from Sebastian are on point from the beginning of this record and the layers in the chorus are crazy and the production is what I’d listen to on a daily basis.
