Sophie and the Giants – The Lights (video)

The fabulous Sophie and the Giants have released this beautifully picturesque video for their latest single ‘The Lights’. Following lead singer Sophie around the group’s home tows of Sheffield, she evokes the same amount of passion and power that is heard in the audio in this gem of a video. Fleeting between backdrops such as an old school, a bedroom and a view across the night lights of the city; the video perfectly conveys the song’s intentions and who Sophie and The Giants are truly.

ZELAH – Save Me

Taking inspiration from the likes of Lorde, London Grammar and BANKS, it is no surprise that this track was an instant hit with us. The dark, infectious and atmospheric soundscape that ZELAH have created gets under your skin and hooks you right away. Across these soundscapes is the Lead vocals that are elevated to another level, inter-tangled with warm synths giving the chorus a glow.

Jolé – All I Need

This beautifully melodic and charmed new single comes from London songwriter Jolé. ‘All I Need’ is all about the beauty that can be found within a friendship or relationship if you learn to look and appreciate it. There is little else to say without ruining the magic that has been created within the track, so you will have to listen for yourselves.

Hare – Another Mistake

For a first single, this dynamic, riff-driven powerhouse is a very good first offering. Hare are a 3 piece from Brighton offering up insane yet wholly melodic hooks that are essentially instant earworms to delve deep in your brain. As the swirls power through, it is hard to believe that such a big sound can be made by just three of them, yet it can be, and is done so with what sounds like effortless ease.

Ady Suleiman – You Make It Better

Taken off of his new LP “Thoughts & Moments Vol. 1 Mixtape’, this is the first track and already he sets the bar to a remarkably high level. With his classic and unmistakable vocals trickling in on a soft, synthy soul backing track, Ady proves just how talented he is and that’s just in the first twenty seconds. The entire LP is dynamic and relentlessly catchy, its definitely a vibe.

Whenyoung – Future

I’m always excited to see new releases from Whenyoung. There is something about the soft Irish undertones of the lead vocals combined with the general genius of the band that makes them irresistible to me, and ‘Future’ is no exception. As it builds, the classic Whenyoung traits begin to appear and within seconds I promise you will be tapping along to it or, if you are like me, desperately trying to learn the words so I can sing along with them.
