Demur Decks 23.09.2019 by Adam Rom
With three head-turning singles under his belt, 18-year-old Adam Rom is an artist poised to become a leading light of the British music scene. Adam has been at it since he was 12 when he first picked up a guitar, the drums and piano soon followed. Shortly after, Adam perfected his production skills using the Logic Pro X production software and since then Adam has been penning and recording tracks some of which have been released and have led him to be compared to Justin Bieber, one of his major influences. Adam recently made his live debut at one of Japan’s biggest fashion festival, Tokyo Girls Collection showing just how much this talented lad is in demand and what an honour it is to have him taking over our Demur Decks this week.
Kiana Ledé – Can I
Love the whole vibe of this one, production is hard, melodies are emotive & her voice is like an angel.
A$AP Ferg – Floor seats
Love A$AP Ferg. So when I heard this song I was gassed. From a musical standpoint, the beat is so hard, his vocals sound so powerful and crisp on top of it. But for me, one of the best things about this song is the music video. Just watch it, it’s nutty.
Mura Masa, Clairo – I Don’t Think I Can Do This Again
Love Mura Masa, the progression of his sound is very cool to hear. Musically it’s on point- smashed it as always.
PRETTYMUCH – Rock Witchu
PRETTYMUCH are my favourite band, every song they release is a banger.
Ariana Grande, Social House – boyfriend
Love the prod on this one, very clean, great sound choice.
Moss Kena, Miraa May, Buddy – You & Me
My bro Moss came with the good vibes on this one!
Jorja Smith, Burna Boy – Be Honest
Summer.
Bazzi – if.l.y.
Like the production on this one.
Majid Jordan, Khalid – Caught Up
Brings me back to the early 2010’s Drake/PartyNextDoor/Majid R’n’B – love it!
Khalid, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie – Right Back
Summer bop!
Adam’s latest single ‘Back To You’ is out now
‘Back To You’ captures the feeling of knowing that a relationship is coming to an end, but neither of you want to accept it just yet.’ Adam explains. ‘It’s something a lot of people can relate to and it’s something I’ve gone through myself too.’
‘I wrote the song with Carys Selvey who I also did my second single ‘Curse’ with and a guy called N8tive…I had a beat already made when I went in the room, but after we’d written the lyrics and melody and I sat with the song for a while I felt it needed some freshening up.
