Demur Decks Takeover With GotSome

UK DJ and producer GotSome released his new single ‘River Ocean’, on Friday. Since then we have had this percussion-led, club-ready jam, on repeat. With all this heat this Bristolian artist is giving us on this track, it was only right that he took over our Demur Decks.

Addison Groove – Brand New Drop (Gutterfunk Records)

This a banger of a tune. I’ve wanted this tune ever since I heard it last summer! Check Addison’s new album out on Gutterfunk, loads of Bristol treats on there.

Fast Eddie – Eddie Gang (Nervous Records)

Always loved Fast Eddie ever since I heard ‘Turn Up The Bass’ many years ago. This is his latest joint… Proper NYC jackin house… Nasty kick drum and pumping soul samples, absolutely love this one.

Jamie XX – Idontknow (XL Records)

This tune randomly came on spotify whilst I was driving last week… proper good jungle rinse out. Blast it loud and hard in your car.

Tom Misch & Yussuf Dayes – Nightrider (Blue Note)

Being at home whilst the COVID lockdown has been going on has allowed me to widen my musical ears. This song has really got me. Love Yussuf Dayes ‘For The Ladies’. The two of them together is something special.

Franky Wah – Come Together (Ministry of Sound)

Keep hearing this on the radio… Proper up-lifting rave tune, really catchy tooo.

Clipz, Ms Banks & Ms Dynamite – Again (RCA Records)

I first heard Clipz play this record at Notting Hill Carnival last year and it’s a proper dance floor banger. I remember hearing it around 10 times that weekend and it had at least 3 rewinds on every play…You can’t mess with the dance floor.

Daphni – Sizzling (Jaiolong)

Classic Daphni tight lashing beats and a hypnotic disco sampling loop-around that gets stuck in your head within seconds.

DJ Deeon – The 302 (Trick)

Heard this last summer in Ibiza and it’s been on my mind ever since then. I know everyone likes the Patrick Topping edit. I like the Deeon one myself. Proper US B’ Boy stuff.

J.0.S.H.U.A & Enzo – Tool 007 (Dont Just)

This is a naughty little bubbler. Distorted kicks, chopped ragga vocals and mad whistling synths… A must for a dark sweaty night club.

GotSome – River Ocean (Ultra records)

I know this is a little biased but go check out my latest release ‘River Ocean’. Hard tribal drums, lush progressive chords and classic sampled vocals from house legend India.
