Demur Decks with Love Island’s Sam Bird

The delightful Sam Bird who you may remember from season 4 of  Love Island, recently released his debut single ‘Run to You’ featuring producer, Papa Zeus; a re-make of Bryan Adams’ 1908’s hit of the same title. With Sam making a transition from reality TV star and bringing his musical talents to the forefront, we were only excited to have the DJ/Producer who has toured and played across the UK, Mallorca, Ibiza, Bulgaria and the Greek Islands in support of hit-maker Joel Corry take over our Demur Decks this week.

Joel Corry – Lonely

Last summer I played the same venues as Joel abroad and watched ‘Sorry’ hit massive success firsthand. He’s given me great advice over the last few months with music and he’s done it again with ‘Lonely’. Real feel-good tune and I’ve been playing it in my own sets.

Oliver Heldens – Take A Chance

Something different from Heldens and it’s a banger. This gives me a cool ABBA style vibe and I’ve been mixing it back to back with a remix of ‘Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie’.

Fisher – Freaks

I was lucky enough to stand behind Fisher last year in Ibiza whilst he played at Hi. Another high energy house smash from him and his presence on stage always matches his tracks.

SAINt JHN – Roses (Imanbek Remix)

The original track is good, but the remix is better. This remix is a perfect example of how TikTok can blow a song up. The first time I heard this, I was watching 3 girls dancing to it on the app and I then Shazamed it. 3 weeks later it was in the top 10.

Jax Jones, Martin Solveig & RAYE – Tequila

Heard this one in a bar in America, love the sax riff and I also love drinking tequila.

Sammy Porter – Let Your Love

I heard this one on the January 2020 series of Love Island which I was also lucky enough to get my first sync on for ‘Run To You’. Proper feel-good summer tune for the lead up to summer parties.

MK & Sonny Fodera ft Raphaella – One Night

I’ve always been a massive fan of MK, one of the DJs I’d love to work with in the future. I’ve been using this one as an opener in my sets, the piano melody is so sick and Raphaella’s vocals and songwriting is second to none on this massive dance track.
