Introducing Gwamz: The Rising Star Blending Afrobeats, Rap, R&B and Grime

South London-based rapper and producer Gwamz has burst onto the scene with his debut release on RCA Records UK, “Last Night.” The 22-year-old rising star has already made waves in the music industry, drawing inspiration from his African heritage and artists such as Knucks, H.E.R, Burna Boy, and Kojo Funds.

“Last Night” is a masterful blend of afrobeats, rap, R&B, and grime, showcasing Gwamz’s silky-smooth vocals and captivating lyrical style. The track has already gained significant traction on TikTok, where a snippet went viral, amassing over 1.3 million plays.

Gwamz has been making music for a while, but it was only after becoming disillusioned with the education system during his second year at university that he decided to pursue music full-time. Since then, he has received support from influential tastemakers such as GRM, SBTV, and Link Up TV.

Gwamz said, “Music is an art and it paints way beyond just words. It can draw out your emotions, your habits; things you like, things you hate. I feel like Last Night is the perfect example of that.”

As Gwamz continues to make waves in the music industry, 2023 looks set to be a monumental year for the young artist. Be sure to check out “Last Night” and keep an eye out for what’s to come from this rising star.
