Oasis, Female Sport Stars Matter!

Summer is always an exciting season with many things to look forward to especially with so many sporting events that bring us closer together. One thing that is common though during these sporting events is the lack of media attention the female sporting stars often get. The Women’s FA Cup Final is taking place this weekend and I only discovered this whilst doing research for this article. I am yet to come across a single ad online, in print or on TV supporting this. As well as this, the England Netball team is headed to the world cup in Liverpool in July.

We have to say kudos to Oasis who recently launched their new campaign featuring the England Netball team. The campaign which is called Vitality Rose for Oasis’ SS19 collection and is heavily inspired by the gold medal winning team. Throughout the campaign, you will see England captain Ama Agbeze, three-time Commonwealth Games competitor Eboni Usoro-Brown, and Jade Clarke, England’s most-capped player displaying a range of their signature moves. You go gir!

You may have heard that female sports stars are still underpaid, so underpaid that they often have to get ‘real jobs’ to support themselves. Oasis’ campaign delves into the women’s other ventures which include mentoring schoolchildren, practicing law, and holding inspirational talks.
