PUMA X JD LAUNCH VIRTUAL SUEDE STAGE WITH MUSIC GAMECHANGERS: GHETTS AND SHAYBO

To celebrate the relaunch of the iconic PUMA Suede, PUMA x JD are introducing the Suede Stage, a virtual event featuring a line-up of today’s most in-demand music names, paying homage to PUMA Suede’s long-standing history of connecting music and culture.

Hosted by No Signal Radio, with DJ presenters Henrie and Scully, the Suede Stage will give a platform to the game changers in music today. Dropping on JD’s Instagram Live (@jdsports) at 7pm on 12th February, the 30-minute event will be an exclusive, one-off show for fans to catch, featuring the artists performing their most popular tracks. Fans on the move can also listen via the independent radio station, No Signal.

The Suede Stage will see iconic British Grime MC, Rapper and Songwriter Ghetts, who is at the forefront of PUMA’s Suede Music space and supported by hard-hitting female rapper Shaybo. Hosting the event will be none other than No Signal Radio – leading game-changers of quarantine radio who started as a platform that live streamed parties in lockdown. They have since grown into a radio station that broadcasts for 115 hours a week, trending with every 10v10 that they drop.

Bringing some much-needed entertainment to the audience, the Suede Stage will bring fans the ultimate gig experience right from the comfort of their own homes. This inspirational campaign is motivated by the brand’s inextricable links that the Suede shoe has to music. A fashion innovation of its time, first created in 1968, it has been the shoe at the epicentre of new cultural moments, from hip-hop’s emergence, breakdancing and B-Boy culture, to pivotal sporting moments such as Tommie Smith’s record breaking 1968 Olympic game and adorned by New York Knicks basketball player Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier.

Ruth How, PUMA Head of Marketing UKI, said: “Connecting both music and culture has always been at the heart of PUMA Suede and it is important we can give a platform to the game-changers in music, and inspire new generations. We are so pleased to partner with JD to bring the Suede Stage to life, bringing fun and entertainment into the homes of many this February, whilst re-establishing our iconic cult classic Suede Shoe.”
