Delia Dane Releases ‘Proof’ from the Black Queer Perspective

LA-based artist Delia Dane, releases new track called ‘Proof’ showcasing her creative perspective as a black, queer woman.

Speaking on ‘Proof’ Delia says the track “is about wanting someone so badly to commit to you, but then realizing it will likely never happen. It’s the feeling of putting yourself out there but feelings aren’t reciprocated and then dealing with the aftermath of showing your heart on your sleeve a bit too much. I’m infinitely proud of how vulnerable I was able to be on this song.”

Delia is an effortlessly cool and fresh artist leaving her mark with vibrant feminine vocals layered through queer song themes. She wrote ‘Proof’ reflecting on her own personal relationship heartbreak – it’s got a groove to transport you to the LA hills at sunset as well as hitting emotionally with Delia’s soul-baring lyrics.

Delia Dane is set to leave her mark on the nu disco and  pop genre, with vibrant, feminine vocals layered throughout queer song themes. The artist, formerly known as DVWEZ has worked with Kitsuné Musique on her 2021 releases.

Now ready to put her message at the forefront, Delia Dane creates music drawing from her own experiences with love and navigating the world. Whilst carrying the vibrant and smooth sounds of pop and nu disco, Delia’s honest lyrics are ready to inspire listeners to be vulnerable, to be angry, to be bold and to be unabashedly happy.
