Demur Decks with George Barnett

George Barnett was left to make music at his own will at the age of 9 as he moved out of school with no formal qualifications and into the woods . His first two EPs “Bad For You” and “Make It Rain” garnered 25 million streams with “Stone Cold Classic” winning a global car advertising campaign . He has a headline tour planned and will be playing at festivals this year .

We handed over our decks to George for him to share what he is listening to at the moment:

Post Animal – When I Get Home

You should take drugs and listen to this, it will make you feel better about doing your tax return.

O. – OGO

I heard this in a kitchen showroom in York. I see they’ve supported Black Midi. That nearly made me hate the track but then I stopped being a prick.

Local Natives – Just Before the Morning

Turn up the mellotron baby. This made me forget I had no money. I listened to it 16 times!

Sugar Candy Melody – En Melody

Don’t let Tarantino hear this, he’ll put it in such a successful film that internet hipsters won’t be able to enjoy it anymore.

The Lazy Eyes – Fuzz Jam

I knew someone with a lazy eye once. He was a lovely man but hard to talk to.

ESG – Dance

I’m gonna put this in my first film. You know, the arty black and white one about being an edgelord.

Caribou – Never Come Back

Made me nearly cry. Fucking amazing song.

Temples – Paraphernalia
