RIMON Returns With ‘Hypnotizing’ Self-Directed Visuals For Her Latest Single

A year on from her debut EP ‘BBYGIRL FOCU$’ – Amsterdam rising star RIMON returns with new music. The visual, which RIMON directed herself captures the subject entering his third eye to find her and make a ‘hypnotising’ connection. Produced by long-time collaborator Samuel Kareem – the track is a different experience to RIMON’s usual style but serves as a reminder of her versatility.

“The track has more sensual lyrics compared to all my other songs, it’s about hypnotizing a guy who’s feeling vulnerable and to persuade him into a hypnotizing night together. I’ve always wanted to make a song like this, cause I just love how crazy crowds get once that 808 hits; a totally different experience on stage,” says RIMON.

RIMON, who has always been heavily involved with her music video’s, got even more involved for ‘Hypnotizing’, for the first time not only working on the concept, but directing herself. For the location, RIMON was the first artist allowed to shoot in the WONDR Experience in Amsterdam, allowing the surrealistic song to come to life by matching it with settings as surreal as the track itself.

“The video is all about the main guy his dream, you literally enter his third eye where he’s searching to find me, to make the connection I’m talking about in the lyrics. He wanders and wanders around, to eventually find her, after a whole timelapse, his dedication brings him to his goal. I’ve always been heavily involved with all my video’s – working on the concepts, but for this one I wanted to be even more in control and actually direct the video; I love how it turned out.” says RIMON,

‘Hypnotizing’ is RIMON’s first new music in nearly a year’s time. 2019 was spent creating, adjusting and expanding – taking on her first-ever festival season, performing at major festivals as Lollapalooza, Parklife and Lowlands. After spending nearly 1.5 months in Los Angeles to work on her new music, the Eritrean-born artist is ready to take on 2020 – kicking off with ‘Hypnotizing’.
