Demur at London Fashion Week: ON|OFF Presents…

All Power to the Imagination..A Little known creative resistance slogan scrawled on Paris walls during the uprisings of 1968. It was created by Situationist Interna- tional — a group of revolutionaries made up of avante-garde artists, intellectuals and theorists, who were pro Dada and Surrealism; anti-establishment.

This statement highlights the mood at On|Off this season. It reflects a yearning to protect the art of fashion, individualism & self-expression. A positive message of hope. Hope for Creative industry at a time of enormous, revolutionary change and upheaval.

Over the last twenty years, On|Off has mentored, and showcased more than five hundred designers. It has kicked off the careers of some of the greatest. Its year-round mentoring and business support program continues to inform and drive pivotal areas of production, communications, networking, as well as showcasing collections on the main stage of London Fashion Week.

”We were really keen to highlight the urgent need for action to combat climate change for generations of our emerging designers.  So the partnership with Earth Logic was a natural one. As a mentor, I am working with creatives to ensure their impact is less if not zero by the time we reach the next big fashion focus in September.  Innovation has always been at the very core of what On|Off represents, and I wholly believe that is is innovation, and ultimately imagination, that is going to drive us forward” says Lee Lapthorne, Founder of On|Off.
