Demur LFW Files – Mark Fast Spring Summer 20

Mark’s first inspiration for the collection came when reading his national Geographic’s. He fell in love with the colours of the amazon; the macaws, birds of paradise, and different species that live there. Mark loved how the beautiful array of colours and animals unintentionally inspire so much around us. His mind swiftly started to imagine what it would be like to have a party in the jungle, under the coat of trees and amongst the many songs of the jungle imagining the neon lights, mixed with tribal graffiti and animalistic characteristics that run through.

A few months later, the devastating news of the amazon fires broke. All this beauty he was researching and being inspired by was disappearing. In light of this, the collection is a tribute to the beauty, colours and creations that were lost and the hope of the amazon rainforest to live on.

Mark looks to Chloe Sevigny and Madonna, circa 1990 as muses. Incorporating the casual separates and masculine tailoring they both championed, as well as the well-known risqué showstopping pieces. Keeping with mark’s dna, his classic knits have been reworked in electric neon pink, green and yellow, creating a new young fresh look. Mark is embracing the true London grunge approach by mixing streetwear with luxury. He is embarking on branching out from knitwear to wovens for men and women’s full collection of ready-to-wear and accessories courageously and full of positive energy.
